Real Estate Transactions

Step 1: Getting the Signed Contract

signed contract When you are purchasing or selling a home, the first step is a signed contract. If you are working with a realtor, simply advise him/her that Manning Notaries will be acting on your behalf and they will forward a copy of your contract to us once all subjects are removed. If you are purchasing or selling privately, you will need to provide our office with a copy of the signed contract. You will also need to advise your insurance and mortgage brokers that we are acting on your behalf so that they can forward instruction and information to our office.

Step 2: Additional Information and Document Preparation

When we receive your contract, we will ask you for some personal information, and we will begin preparing documents for your transaction. Please keep in mind that on average the entire process usually takes a minimum of 10 to 14 days.

Step 3: Completion and Transfer(s)

Completion and Transfer of real estate key in door.

Once we have all documents ready for you to sign, we will contact you and arrange an appointment that is convenient for you. On the day of completion, we will ensure the transfer(s) happen as soon and as smoothly as possible. In the event that you’re selling, we will have to wait for sale proceeds to come from the purchaser’s notary or lawyer but we will advise you as soon as we have confirmation that the transfer is complete.

At Manning Notaries, we are very experienced in handling BC Real Estate Transactions, and we will thoroughly look after every detail for you.
